Pellissippi State Advances in TCCAA Tournament with 83–81 Win
The Pellissippi State women’s basketball team competed in the first round of the TCCAA Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee.
The Pellissippi State women's basketball team opened the TCCAA Conference Tournament with an 83–81 win over Southwest Tennessee Community College on Friday afternoon at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee. The Panthers pulled out the close victory in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final moments, allowing Pellissippi State to advance to the next round of the tournament.
Autumn Crick led Pellissippi State with 23 points while knocking down three three-pointers and going 10-for-11 from the free throw line. Maiya Moore added 15 points, and Karley Hunt contributed 13 points and seven assists. Presley Clark also provided a spark offensively, scoring 10 points while shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and from beyond the arc. Pellissippi State shot 47.3 percent from the field and recorded 14 assists as a team in the win.
With the victory, the Panthers move on in the TCCAA Tournament and will face Walters State Community College on Sunday.
